  • ATT Telecommunications Relay
Relay is for anyone who is deaf, hard-of-hearing, late-deafened,or speech disabled, and who uses a TTY/TDD or standard telephone to communicate. The message is then skillfully relayed by a Communications Assistant (CA), word for word, to the hearing person on the other end of the line. Then the CA types what the hearing person has said back to the TTY user. And by law, each conversation is handled with the strictest confidentiality. There is no additional charge to access AT&T Relay Services.

  • Speech to Speech
If you are a Californian with a speech disability you can now use a new, free telephone assistance service 24 hours a day. This service, called Speech-to-Speech, provides human voicers for people who have difficulty being understood by the public on the telephone. You can dial 800-854-7784 to reach a patient, trained operator who knows your situation and has acute hearing. This operator makes telephone calls for you and repeats your words exactly.
