- Autism: Characteristics, Facts, and Ten Laws of Success
This course is designed to offer introductory information about the syndrome of autism. It presents facts as to when autism was first identified in modern medicine, the definition of autism, the medical diagnosis as determined on the DSM IV, and past and current incidence rates. In this course you will also discover what author Kathie Harrington, calls the "Ten Laws of Success for Children and Adults with Autism."
You will learn specific strategies that support each of the Ten Laws. The speech/language pathologist's knowledge about the syndrome of autism will be multiplied as well as building confidence in working with this special population
